How to use my skill set in the future?
βHow do you use your skill set in another industry? β
Sometimes it can be hard to work out how 'your unique individual skills' will transfer into another industry. π
It can be confusing when you think try and think how 'varnishing, polishing, sanding.... or detailing, setting tables, organising guest items.....' will ever be able to cross relate to another industry.
But in fact, there are many other skills you have in this industry that are cross-relatable, as well as other skills you may not have considered (for example: being very organised, time efficient, personable and relatable, and many more).
β Start by making a list of all the things you currently do in your job - and think what around this makes it a useful skill to have.
Also think about the interactions you have with others.
π Are you good at communicating?
π Are you good at solving problems?
π Are you good with young/old people?
π Do you work well under tight deadlines?
π Do you enjoy training others?
π Do you adapt to change easily?
π Are you good at managing your own time and your others in your departments time?
These are all things that will help you when moving forward.
β If you need any ideas or inspiration look up skills and start gathering together a list of things
They tend to group into 4 categories
